I have a young baby Cockapoo & was wondering if there is a way i can train him to use the kitty litter when no ones home. That way i can go to school not having to worry as much.

that is the whole point of training the dog to go outside to do its business, so it DOESNT go in the house. there is nothing to worry about. if the dog is fully trained to do its business outside then it will be fine.
yes you can many Japanese Chin people train their dogs to use kitty boxes. However instead of kitty litter they put wood chips in the box. It isn’t a natural thing for the dogs either, you have to get the message across to them that the box is their potty. That takes positive reinforcement and consistency.
Maybe not the kitty litter box, but you could try puppy potty pads. You can get them at Walmart for like $14. As long as the dog knows he can ‘go’ there, they will work. Keep them in the same spot in your house to help with training. Make sure they are kept clean too, otherwise he won’t use them.
When I was in college,I adopted a 6 week old puppy from the H.Society.
I pottied her before I left for classes, then put out newspapers in the kitchen for her to pee on.She behaved perfectly, and never peed in the house in all the 17 years I had her.
When(if) you should put down papers, say something like”go potty for Mom!,” and give him kisses when he pees on the paper.
I also left her a bunch of puppy-proof toys to play with, after I puppy-proofed my apartment.
You can do it.Your puppy will be just fine.Make a huge deal of it when you come home and potty him.
Good luck and kiss him for me.
You can! I would use all natural stuff (not clay…but shavings or Second Nature) since dogs may eat their poo.
sure. but it might take some while for it to get used to it.
try asking a profesional!
