Crate Training A Puppy That Cries And Doesn’t Freely Go Into His Crate?

we have a 3.5 month old cockapoo which we got cratetrained from a breeder. however, when we put him in there in the daytime (and we go to work) he cries for about an hour (that we know of). we have a walker come in twice a day, but he really just gets so upset, that it’s upsetting to us. He doesn’t love treats, so it’s hard to lure him in there w/food, and he doesn’t freely go into his crate, so what should we do? I hate to think of him crying all the time when we’re not there.
thnx

Dogs aren’t meant to live in boxes. That said, here is some help for crate training. If you have any alternative at all, please consider it. Contrary to popular opinion, dogs do not view crates as dens (when was the last time you saw a den with a door on it?).http://www.ddfl.org/behavior/crate-train…http://www.diamondsintheruff.com/crate.h…
