Help With Puppy Potty Training?

Im 14 and I have a 7 month old cockapoo mutt i rescued in mexico. I got her when she was 3 months and started crate training which helped with the potty training. But now she seems to be going backwards and peeing in the living room and everything. Any ideas of things to try?

You must go with her so the second she goes you can praise her and bring her back into the house quickly for the treat…
She will quickly learn what she is suppose to do outside.
Would also be a good idea to take her outside before you go to bed also..

First of all, find something that totally removed the odor of her urine from the carpet/flooring. As long as the odor is there, she’ll continue to go there.
I agree that you should go back to the crate training. Even at 7 months, not only will this help with house breaking, but will give your puppy a safe place to be.
I had the same problem a few years back.
I asked my vet and he told me that what you have to do is rub the dogs nose BY it ( not on it- gross; and not hard just enough so they can smell what it is) Then put them outside.
Go get the cleaning materials, and once you are ready to clean it, bring your puppy back in and make sure they see that you have to clean it. Dogs are verry loyal, and if they see that their friend (owner) is mad and has to pick up after them, it will make them think harder about what they are doing next time. It may happen a couple more times, but after that you will have a dog who will hold it all day just so he doesn’t make you feel bad. ( i know it sounds mean, but just see it as if your dog is a child. They are smart, and they need to see what the consequences are)
Be sure that every time your dog goes outside to use the bathroom you give it alot of good attention. Giving treats will make it so your dog expects it every time they go to the bathroom.
First you have to get a carpet cleaning solution made for pet stains. They have a special ingredient that gets rid of the urine smell that attracts the dog back to the same spots. Then you have to put her on a schedule. Go first thing in the morning, after she eats, after she naps, etc. Just for a little while until she gets the hang of it.
i only have one idea for you and it worked on every dog in my family . you should put down news paper on the floor and show your dog thats is where it does its business and give your dog a treat every time it goes to the washroom in the right spot. oh and if people are telling you to put its nose in it DON’T because your dog will hate you and not listen to you
put her back in a crate and start over by only letting her out when you can watch her 100% she has to earn her freedom. My dogs were fully house trained at around 11 months. Remember the more accidents she has the harder it will be to train her.
Start ALL over with the crate training. It’s not easy but thats probably the only way she will re-learn to go outside.
My 6 year old Pekingese just started doing this. I havent used his crate in years! I had to pull it up from the basement and I’m now starting over with his potty training.
Another thing — get her vet checked. It could be a Urinary Tract Infection. So make an appointment just incase.
Otherwise keep an eye on her and close all doors to any rooms you arent in — feeding schedule, outside every 4 hours — etc. etc.

Has it been going outside at all the same times or has something in your routine changed? If you throw off the dogs normal routine they may resort back to having accidents. Just be patient and start back with crate training again hopefully it wont be long before the dog is back on track.
