Filed under Care & Training Q&As
She is a 2.5 month old cockapoo, we are house training her so she is kept in a kennel but once she is released she goes haywire, biting me running non stop chewing up everything, I try taking her for walks but when I put the harness on her, she immediately tries to remove it, Please help me train her!

Once she has done all of her puppy shots sign her up for some good training classes. Start at the puppy class and work through to advanced.
Get her used to the leash by putting it on her and letting her drag it around the home. Supervised of course. This worked really well with all of mine. When their shots were done they were accepting of the harness and leash. It made it so much easier.
It sounds like she’s just going through normal puppy behavior! Of course she goes haywire when let out of her kennel because she has a lot of pent up energy. She’ll get used to her harness, but you can also try getting her something called the Gentle Leader which is really good for training to walk on lead. Really, you need to take her to puppy classes, and get professional training! Often, local shelters will run training classes that are cheaper than independent schools so shop around. And welcome to puppyhood!
