How Do You Train A Grumpy Puppy?

I have a little female cockapoo pup that is very grumpy. She growls alot when I pick her up. Today I was in the other room and heard my kitten cry out,and I ran in the room and saw the puppy on top of the kitten trying to bite her. I don’t know how to discipline her properly. Does anyone have any suggestions?

    If you did not get her right from the breeder she is going to be very hard to train her but if you spend time with her and show her that you are not going to hurt her that might help. Also their is a book you can get that is by monks who train dogs and i used it to train my dog it helped.
