I have a cockapoo (1 year) and I kennel her. She had this same problem for a while, always had to be in the mix . It will take time for her to get used to knowing that the kennel is just temporary and you are coming back for her. Try giving her treats when you first put her in the kennel if it is not for punishment. My dog loves the kennel now because she knows she will get a treat. She goes in sometimes on her own, it will just take time.

Sounds like he has separation anxiety you need to train him to know that when you leave him you will be back. Put him in his kennel with favorite toy, go out of house for a few minutes and than come back in, do this over and over making the time longer each time you go out and he will learn that you will come back to him.

First, try to relax when he starts barking. If you give him lots of attention in order to try to get him to stop barking, you may actually just be reinforcing the negative behavior.
Here are some ideas that may work – use lemon juice instead of water and spray it in his mouth when he barks – give a quick correction and a spray. The sour taste often has better results.
For when you are not physically there, look into the citronella no-bark collars. They work on the same principal as shock collars but are more humane. They spray a blast of citronella, which is non-toxic but most dogs do not like it.
If you haven’t already, consider enrolling in some basic oobedience classes to help establish you – not the dog – are the boss and the one that runs the show.
