hello. I am getting a new cockapoo puppy soon. I heard they are a very smart breed. It will be 8 weeks when I acquire it, how many weeks until I start to obedience and potty train it? how long should I take it out for a walk when it starts walking? if you have any other useful info, please let me know!
PS. If you have a cockapoo, please tell me how they are..like for example, barking, friendliness etc.

congrats on ur new baby. cockapoos are great, no shedding and they are pretty smart. AS for the potty training and obedience i’d start that ASAP. there are diff’ types of methos for puppy training personally my dog uses “pee-pee pads” he got it pretty quickly.
so make sure you have all of the neccessities like collar, leash, pet bed, crate if u want, food bowl water bowl (use stainless steel for less bacteria infestation), pee-ppee pads if you need it, proper puppy shampoo, brush, oral hygene, proper toys like KONG to help with teething, natures miracle spot remover for those “wee-wee accidents” -haha just make sure you’re well armored with all that stuff.
for walking the dog just make sure all the vaccines are done while they are puppies until 4 months they’ll go through 3 series of vaccines.
I didnt take my dog to the cement or grass when he was a puppy just to be on the safe side.
good luck with ur new bundle of joy!!!
I used to have a cockapoo that I adopted from a shelter. He was kind of hard to potty train, but he was my favorite dog. They just LOVE people and petting. Give her lots of love. Barking is a natural habit and all dogs do it, though some do it more then others. Cocks are not a huge barking breed, so I wouldn’t worry. Try potty training him as soon as possible. If you wait too long, then it will be a hard habit to brake. I took my cockapoo on two short walks and one long one. When their puppies, just walk as far as they can until they start getting tired. Its great bonding too. Have FUN!
I’ve had two cockapoo’s but they weren’t puppies when I got them. They are awesome dogs!!! They will be your very best friend, easy to train too. They have great personalities, non agressive, great with kids and they dont shed much at all. They kind of have hair like people do. Sorry I dont know anything about potty training them. Lots of luck with your pupply, you going to be so happy with your new friend!!
