no start training right away. I believe the best way is to start moving the pad towards the door you plan on going out with the pup to do its business and then put the pad outside. when you go from one training method to another, you kinda have to start all over. as far as the pooping off of the pad, is the pup missing it completely (like on the other side of the room) or is his just too close to the edge and it doesn’t land on the pad? you may need to keep one of his poos on the pad so he understands thats where he poos too. but don’t wait for 3 more months before you start training it to go outside.

Ugh, we all know what a cocker/poodle mix is. And it’s not a purebred, so why do people insist on giving it a ‘breed’ name? Call it what it is, a mixed breed.
Start taking the pup outside immediately for training. Waiting won’t help anything. Take him outside every thirty minutes when he’s awake, immediately before and after naps and bedtime, and immediately after eating. Lavish him with praise when he potties where he’s supposed to.

Gentle potty training can begin at any age. The earlier the better. By not showing your puppy that the outside is the place to “go”, you are reinforcing that the inside is where he should “go”. Potty training can be accomplished on walks. Make anytime they eliminate outside a little party. Lots of positive reinforcements, you can’t over-do the positive with potty training a little one. Be careful not to “scold” your puppy for peeing or pooping in the house though. This can be a gigantic mistake, as you can teach your pup to go and hide when they have to eliminate. And therefore you will not be able to know when they need to go because they will be afraid to tell you. Once you know what to watch for – the sign – that your pup needs to relieve them self, you will know exactly when to take them out.

    What is a cockapoo?
At first i though you were trying to say what breed it is, but no, a cockapoo isn’t a breed, so….?

Don’t wait until it’s 6 months, just start taking the pad outside and every 30 minutes let it out, and make she your puppy knows where it is. At night time bring the pad in again. Do this for a few days and start leaving your puppy to go without for longer periods of time, and start gradually removing the pad as son as yout puppy has finished its “buisness” and praise it.
