Yes - If you're willing 2 clean up dog crap 3 times a day every day 4 the rest of your dog's life . This is how we trained our dogs: pick a word that you want your dog 2 respond 2(ours respond 2 potty ) when he needs 2 go out.Take the time U would usually use 2 change newspaper ,tell him where you're going(let's go potty, etc),take him outside & repeatedly tell him 2 go potty .When he does, reward him w/ a treat or just praise him. Whenever he goes potty inside scold him harshly (there's nothing a dogs hates more than being scolded).Keep this up & your dog will be potty train in no time.

If you want your dog peeing and pooping inside YOUR house, that's fine with me. Most people would rather their dog go outside where dogs go.

>Not if you mind finding cockapoo poop in your shoes in the morning. Train and take care of the dog properly or give it to someone who will.<

Here's an idea that my ex-mother-in-law did with her little Yorkie. She got little diapers (they make them for female dogs to wear when they are in heat) and she cut up kotex pads to fit inside, and that's what her little dog used. That little anklebiter (sorry, loved that little dog, but that's all she did was bite at your ankes, lol) never went outside except to go to the vet and to be buried. The house didn't stink anymore than a normal farmhouse, and the dog was happy.

It sounds like you should litterbox train him. It's a good solution for small, stay-at-home dogs because they can go whenever they want. Make sure you buy a big enough pan and dog litter (not cat litter) to go in it. They sell both of these things at Petco and PetSmart; a small bag of litter will cost you $10-$12 and last 2-3 weeks, a big bag will cost $15-$20 and last you 4-6 weeks.
Purina makes a brand of dog litter and has a pretty good, informative website about litterbox training your dog:http://www.doglitter.com/GetPage.aspx?D=…

dogs, like cats can be taught to use litter boxes. you could just get a large plastic tub and put a bit o dirt in it. you train him right he'll use it AND it'll be easier for you to accommodate. i actually knew an owner of an indoor angora rabbit who just hopped around the house all day and they had litter box trained this angora rabbit. it was cool.

Get him a patch of grass and put it inside his room, or...
train him to go poop and pee in the toilet. :)

My rescue was trained to potty on paper. There is nothing wrong with this. What you must do is be careful on what you dog potties on. Unfortunately it cost us $600 because our baby developed kidney failure that is usually seen only in cats using a litter box. Make sure that where your pet is going potty is absorbed and not likely to transfer to the feet which he will lick. Fortunatly I am home during the day and can change the paper, which I cover with paper towels for absortion, and wash and clean her feet and peepee as soon as I see her before she can lick. Please ask your vet.
