Help! My Puppy Woke Up From A Nap And Was Very Aggressive And Afraid!?

I have a 13 week old cockapoo puppy who woke up from a nap late last night and totally panicked. I was standing about 6 feet away from him when he woke up with a start, and ran to the corner of our bedroom alternating between blood curtailing screams and growls directed at me. He also smeared a bit of poop over the pillows as he ran. It took him about 20 seconds to calm down, and then it was like a light went on in his head. He abruptly stopped screaming, and came running towards me shaking. He then hid under my legs for about 10 minutes. I tried to go to sleep about half an hour later, but he refused to lie down. It was as if he was on guard. We were up for at least 3 hours trying to get him to relax. Before last night we had never had a problem with him going to sleep.
He is the sweetest puppy normally, but last night I was truly afraid he was going to bite me. This happened once before, but to a much lesser extent. He woke up from a nap and screamed, but it only took a few seconds for him to calm down and come cuddle me. I don’t normally have a problem waking him up from naps. I call his name and he opens his eyes, tail wagging, and wants to snuggle. I have only used positive reinforcement to train him, and he is very cuddly with me normally, so I know he isn’t actually afraid of me. It seems like he forgets who I am…
Has anyone had any experience with this type of behaviour? Is it possible he is just having really bad dreams and he will grow out of it? I am at a total loss as to what my next step should be and could really use some advice!
Thanks so much, BP

My 3 month old cockapoo has been biting a lot ( I know that is expected of pups of course) but he growls and bites pretty hard. What is some good ideas for training him not to bite and be more gentle? I know he must grow out of a bit of it but is there something I can do? Thank you!
Why Is My Dog Suddenly Becoming Aggressive?

We have 3 dogs. A 1 1/2 y.o Australian Cattle Dog mix, a 1 1/2 y.o. Beagle mix and a 4 y.o. cockapoo. Up until about 3 weeks ago they all stayed outside during the day and came in at night. The Cockapoo is going blind so we now have her in the house all day. The problem is that the Aussie is starting to get agressive with the Cockapoo when she is let into the house.(She doesn’t do anything when the Cockapoo is let outside) She has also growled and snapped at my daughter twice now. I can’t think of anything that has changed other than having the Cockapoo in the house all day. Could it be jealousy? Any training suggestions?
Dog Aggressive When Putting On Leash?

My 4 yr. old (Cockapoo) dog has always been tempermental. We tried obedience training when he was younger and he bit the trainer. In the past year, he has become aggressive when going to put his leash on and will go to bite whomever is trying. Unlike our other dog, he hates walks, so he doesn’t go with often. I need some suggestions on how to rehabilitate my dog. How do I get him on the leash again without getting bit?
He gets kennelled several times a year and I think that is where the problem started. He needs to get kennelled in a week and I need to try to elimnate a 1 hour battle to get him on a leash.
Do Cockapoos Have Aggressive Traits In Them? My 1.5 Year Old Cockapoo Is Very Food Possessive. What Can I Do?

It’s is pretty much in the question. He has became less food possessive but he still has his moments if I get near him while he is eating. Do cockapoos have naturally aggressive traits in them? He is also on a leash almost all day because we are not sure how to train him to not eat our socks. I don’t want to spank him and I feel like training classes won’t work. Please answer one of these questions. Thank you! By the way if you need details or have questions just ask and I’ll add details.
