My Puppy Keeps Screaming In His Crate….?

My puppy is about 9 weeks old and I’ve been crate training him and his is so smart! On the 2nd day he slept through the whole night and his has never had an accident in his crate. He sleeps in a seperate room next to my other dog and she is in her crate. Right before putting him inside I take him out to pee and put him inside with a tiny little treat. I have always done this with my other dog too. But today (its 4:44am right now….) he started barking really loud it really scared me so I took him out of his cage and took him out to pee and put him right back in. He has never ever screamed like that ever. This happened 3 more times, anyone know why he is acting like this? Its a boy Cockapoo, 9 weeks, just about perfectly house trained.

Crate Training A Puppy That Cries And Doesn’t Freely Go Into His Crate?

we have a 3.5 month old cockapoo which we got cratetrained from a breeder. however, when we put him in there in the daytime (and we go to work) he cries for about an hour (that we know of). we have a walker come in twice a day, but he really just gets so upset, that it’s upsetting to us. He doesn’t love treats, so it’s hard to lure him in there w/food, and he doesn’t freely go into his crate, so what should we do? I hate to think of him crying all the time when we’re not there.

Crate Training?

I have a 13 week old cockapoo and he HATES his crate and is hesitant to even go near it. Every time we put him in it he fights and whines when we leave. But when other people (other then me or my gf) put him in it he stays in it without a fight and never whines. How is the best way to get him used to it? How long does it usually take to train a puppy to learn his name, and basic commands?

Crate Training With A Blanket?

I recently got a 10 week old Cockapoo and made the mistake of letting him sleep with me instead of in his crate. Well, I realized that when I’m staying with a friend for a week, he won’t be able to, so I decided to make him sleep in his crate. When I put him in his crate, he whines SO much. I know I’m supposed to just let him whine, but I can’t! So, I put a blanket over the crate and he hasn’t whined at all! Is there anything wrong with doing this? I know this is the stupidest question, but this is my first dog so I don’t know all of the tricks Thanks a lot!

When Crate Training A Puppy, What Do You Do When He Won’t Accept The Crate?

I am housebreaking a 12 week old puppy using the crate training method. He hates the crate and immediately starts whining, worrying, clawing at the door, etc. He is normally a very calm and contented puppy. What can I do to make this more acceptable to him, both for housebreaking and for other times he needs to be crated? We have not put him in the crate for more than a few minutes at this point, because he is so incensed about it! If it has any bearing on your answer, he’s a cockapoo.
