Do Cockapoos Have Aggressive Traits In Them? My 1.5 Year Old Cockapoo Is Very Food Possessive. What Can I Do?

It’s is pretty much in the question. He has became less food possessive but he still has his moments if I get near him while he is eating. Do cockapoos have naturally aggressive traits in them? He is also on a leash almost all day because we are not sure how to train him to not eat our socks. I don’t want to spank him and I feel like training classes won’t work. Please answer one of these questions. Thank you! By the way if you need details or have questions just ask and I’ll add details.

(dog Potty Training – See Details) We Have Two Girl Cockerspainel/poodles (cockapoos) And We Have Tried To…

…potty train them but it didnt work. We are forced to keep them outside in a pen that we built because we already had to replace the carpet in my children`s playroom. Any ideas on how to potty train them? We can start using the garage (it has a rug) and then once they master that, move into the house. Ideas?

I Have A 7 Year Old Cockapoo With Aggression Issues. I Have Tries Everything .?

Behaviorists, medications, training etc. We adopted him 3 years
ago. Essentially, he bites under ciertain circumstances: If we try to
take away something he has that does not belong to him, he’ll growl and bite. He will do this when he is resting and doesn’t want to be bothered. We have learned to manage the situation in that we know the circumstances where he will bite and we avoid these situations.
We tried prosac which turned out to be a disaster, he became more aggressive, we’ve gone through the whole training/behavior modification stuff which has helped but there does not seem to be a way to keep him from biting permanently. The vet/behaviorists tell us it is genetic and we just have to manage the sitiuation. Is there anyone out there who has tried something different? He is a great dog 95% of the time but his aggression limits us from allowing him to interact freely with other people. My husband is apprehensive around him and all in all, the situation is not ideal. HELP!

Anyone Have Any Experience With The Cockapoo Breed Of Dog?

Yes, I know it is classified as a mutt. I have been looking at local pounds and from breeders. I’m planning on waiting until my children are 6yrs and 2yrs old. The dog will rarely be left alone and would have a huge yard to romp in and plenty of attention and training. My husband and I have been researching different breeds and if anyone has any experience with this breed (or another that would make a great family dog) I would love to hear from you. Thanks!! :)

How To Kennel Cockapoo When I Have Company And Have Him Not Be So Loud?

My dog is a pleaser and is kennel trained. BUT he NEEDS to be apart of everything! If we run out to the back yard, he barks up a storm. If I run my daughter to school, he will poop in the house. I can’t leave for 2 mintues without kenneling him. We take him alot of places, and he loves being apart. BUT I can’t even run the garbages outside without him barking SO loud all the neighobors can hear it and he spazs out. If I have company over that doesnt’ like dogs, I kennel him and he barks So loud the whole time I have comapny and we can’t even talk. He NEEDS to be apart of everything. I spray him with water when I have company if he is kenneled. Nothing. I get a cup of water and dump it on him, nothing. I have him totally soaked (water DOES work when he is not so wound up). Than I feel mean because I am QUIET and have totally soaked my dog in his kennel, how do I get him to just BE QUIET and be good when kenneled and I am still in the house (he is quiet if we leave)?

I Recently Adopted A Cockapoo, Anyone Have Experience With Them?

I very recently adopted a cockapoo from a family that had to move. So far she is great and already well trained. I read some info about the “breed” but was wondering if anyone has further info or experiences to share about this particular type of dog. Her physical features are almost completely cocker spaniel. Any real info would be helpful.

I Am Interested In Purchasing A Dog, Does Anyone Have Information About A Cockapoo?

I would like to know a good breeder or shop where I can purchase the dog in either Nassau County or Western Suffolk County, New York, and want some information on the cockapoo. For example, is the dog good with children, how much exercise does the dog require, and how easy is it to train this dog?
