4 Year Old Female Husky Mix Help?
Filed under Care & Training Q&As
My 4 year old Husky mix Sweetie is a real sweetheart hint the name. She is a rescue dog, she is a Siberian Husky/ Alaskan Husky mix. She was a lead sled dog, and I am training her again for that position. But I am having a lot of trouble with her behavior. She as a lead sled dog is very dominate towards other dogs. She is great with my 7 month old Cockapoo puppy, when it comes to other dogs she does alright but with her dominate behavior she tends to frighten the other dogs (I’m worried that another dog will start a fight with her because they are scared or something). Sweetie gets along with other sled breed dogs obviously it is just with other breeds that she seems to have trouble with. Is there anyway to correct this dominate behavior of hers?? Sweetie also has a very sensitive stomach. Is there any type of dog food that might be good for her?? She isn’t my first dog I’ve just never owned one with her sensitive stomach nor one as stubborn as she. Any help you can give is welcomed.

Do Cockapoos Have Aggressive Traits In Them? My 1.5 Year Old Cockapoo Is Very Food Possessive. What Can I Do?
Filed under Care & Training Q&As
It’s is pretty much in the question. He has became less food possessive but he still has his moments if I get near him while he is eating. Do cockapoos have naturally aggressive traits in them? He is also on a leash almost all day because we are not sure how to train him to not eat our socks. I don’t want to spank him and I feel like training classes won’t work. Please answer one of these questions. Thank you! By the way if you need details or have questions just ask and I’ll add details.
2 Year Old Cockapoo Forgetting That He Is House Trained…?
Filed under Care & Training Q&As
My dog is over two years old. He has been house trained for awhile, but for a few months he has been pooping on the floor is my husband and I leave at the same time. It is deliberate, I have taken him around the block and then gone to the grocery store for twenty minutes, come back and he had pooped. There had been ample time to do it on the walk before.
We take him for a walk every day, cuddle and play with him, he is alone from about 8:00am to 5:30pm, but there are lots of toys to keep him entertained.
Recently he added peeing on the floor to his way of punishing us.
What can we do to stop him?
I Have A 7 Year Old Cockapoo With Aggression Issues. I Have Tries Everything .?
Filed under Care & Training Q&As
Behaviorists, medications, training etc. We adopted him 3 years
ago. Essentially, he bites under ciertain circumstances: If we try to
take away something he has that does not belong to him, he’ll growl and bite. He will do this when he is resting and doesn’t want to be bothered. We have learned to manage the situation in that we know the circumstances where he will bite and we avoid these situations.
We tried prosac which turned out to be a disaster, he became more aggressive, we’ve gone through the whole training/behavior modification stuff which has helped but there does not seem to be a way to keep him from biting permanently. The vet/behaviorists tell us it is genetic and we just have to manage the sitiuation. Is there anyone out there who has tried something different? He is a great dog 95% of the time but his aggression limits us from allowing him to interact freely with other people. My husband is apprehensive around him and all in all, the situation is not ideal. HELP!
I’m Trying To Potty Train My 1 Year Old Female Cockapoo!?
Filed under Care & Training Q&As
I’ve had my cockapoo since she was 9 weeks old. We started potty training using pee pee pads. She did ok with that but still would go on the floor once in a while. We have been teaching her to go outside now since she was about 4 months old. She goes pee outside but then she’ll come inside and poop. Does anyone have any suggestions on how to get her to go to the bathroom outside all the time?? Please help!
Why Did My 3 Year Old Cockapoo Poop On The New Carpet?
Filed under Care & Training Q&As
The other day I noticed an odor in the basement. Today I realized why; apparently my otherwise well-trained dog (who never has accidents) pooped on the new shaggy carpet.
I can’t reprimand him for something already done, but I surely want to prevent it from happening again.
Any suggestions?
2 Year Old Housebroken Cockapoo Has Started To Urinate In The House… What Happened?
Filed under Care & Training Q&As
Our 2 year old male cockapoo has been wee-wee pad trained since the beginning and we also take him outside to go to the bathroom. However, the past couple of weeks, we have discovered him making little accidents on the carpets around the house. He is still relieving himself on the wee-wee pads primarily, but randomly finding spots where he has peed every few days or so is disconcerting. Why is this happening and how do we fix it??
