Actually the dog I might get soon applies to all of the specifications you wanted above. She is a Peak a Shih. Or a Peak a poo mixed with a Shih Tzu so a Peak a Poo or a Shih Tzu woud e good dogs too. They are all very cute and whenyou mx the two dogs together to get a puppy you know the hair is sometimes crimpy. My friend is selling thoes puppies for $250. But mine is free since I am her best friend. Not meaning to brag or anything just saying.

Get a stuffed animal. It is the only thing that will meet ALL of your standards. You are looking for the “perfect” dog. and no matter how hard you look, you aren’t going to find one that meets ALL of your standards. Be open to alternatives. And please, only go to shelters or rescues. Don’t buy from breeders or pet stores.

I highly recommend a shih tzu. I have one myself. He is very fat (17 pounds), but most are around 12 pounds. Look up the breed for more info. He is an extreme lap dog at night, but during the afternoon he can be as hyper as ever. So, it really depends on the time of day. They are very easy to groom as long as you get the hair cut short every once in awhile. As long as the hair is cut short, the shih tzu will not need much grooming. All dogs shed, but some more then others. Shih tzus hardly shed whatsoever. My dog absolutely loves cuddling, he sleeps on my bed with me at night. About the training, I taught him a trick (the trick was bang or play dead you may call it) in two to three days. Which is very good, I did it every night for three days and he learned it! Right now it is 9 o’ clock p.m. right now when I am typing this and he is laying on his dog bed asleep. Local shelters are awesome. (We actually bought him at a humane society) They get along good with other dogs. Although mine does not like cats…but if you raise them around other household pets at a young age they will get used to each other. I hope that you think about buying a shih tzu. They are wonderful dogs. If you have anymore questions let me know!
P.S. If you decide to buy one then make sure that you spay or neuter it unless you decide to be a VERY responsible breeder.

We’re getting a Boston Terrier. They don’t shed, can be smaller, can get all excited BUT can be just as happy lounging about and cuddling with you. They are EXTREMELY intelligent and easy to train (although you must be smart in your training ways). Not a barker……little to no grooming required. I’ve done EXTENSIVE research on this breed and we are anticipating a pup in late spring. We have a one year old daughter who will be 1 1/2 but the time we get him. We chose this breed because of all the factors I stated above, as well as and most importantly because they are excellent with children. I’ve also found that anyone that has anything negative to say about BT’s….they really don’t know the breed. Plus….they are super cute!! Good luck….this can be a very exciting addition to your fam!!
