Why Is My Dog Suddenly Peeing Where He Knows Not To??

My 3 year old cockapoo Bailey is starting to pee on my bed, and I dont mean just a sprinkle, he pees through the blankets, sheets, and even makes it onto my pillows. He has never done this before, he is trained to pee outside, so why the sudden change? His diet is the same, he has allergies so he is on medication, but its the same meds as always, we don’t have any other animals so I don’t see how it could be a dominance issue. This is just really odd behavior. Why is it happening, and how can I stop it?

Could he be angry with something that you did lately? Dogs act out when they are not happy with certain issue. e.g. if you have someone sleeping over with you that is taking up his “space”?
Some things to do
- Make sure your dog emptied his bladder b4 bedtime
- Punish him consistency each time he does it. Alternatively, close the door so he cant get to the bedroom from now

He may have a urinary tract infection.You need to take a urine sample to the vet.
He could be just marking his territory b/c you sleep there and he picks up on the scent. Usually dogs don’t do their business where they sleep or eat – if it helps sprinkle some dog treats or other non-stainable foods there and he should get the message.
You may want to start with a visit to the vet for a check up. Sometimes dogs pee in the house because of medical problems and peeing on the bed can be a way of getting your attention. If it is not a medical problem then you must assess what needs your dog has that you are not fulfilling. Not enoush attention? Excersice? etc.
About a 1 1/2 ago my dog started peeing in the house a lot. I thought he might have a uninary tract infection so I made an appointment for him at the vet’s office. After a few tests we found out that he was diabetic. He had to stay in the animal hospoital over night. When he came home we began giving him insulin shots 2 times a day. Not that his glucose is under control he no longer pees in the house. Had we not taken him to the vet he most likely would have died within a few days from shock due to the high about of glucos in his body.
So my suggest, Start with a visit to the vet.
Sometimes they do it because they see other animals do it, even on tv!
